Bio

Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Nejma Nefertiti is a Hip Hop artist, recording engineer and executive producer whose work blends her Iranian, North African and Indigenous American roots. Known for her fierce delivery, vivid imagery, intricate wordplay and layered storytelling, she was one of 12 winners of The Saga Continues Contest, created by Sway and RZA of Wu-Tang Clan. Her video for “Soul Ties” won Best International Hip Hop Music Video at the Golden Sneakers International Hip Hop Film Festival in London. She has performed at BAM, The Kennedy Center, SOB's and The Blue Note Jazz Club, and has toured internationally, including France, Switzerland and Serbia.
